Brazilian DAY!!!!

     Feel like a Brazilian? Today is the Brazilian Day Parade, If your not Brazilian... You are today!!! So you might as well party like one.

    Put on your blue, green, and Yellow clothes, or just wear the Brazilian Flag and head out to 46th street between madison Ave. and 7th Ave. 

11am-5pm 

    Then afterward Head over to D.U.M.B.O. and Watch an outdoor screening of the classic Movie,  "The Shining"  For more information Click THIS

Saturday, Subway Cafe and Pacha

After a busy Saturday of seeing New York City, stop by the cafe and listen to some live music from our Saturday Night series of subway musicians from 8pm.

If you are ready to party, join us as we head down to Pacha. Pacha will let you see a slice of the city that never sleeps until 6am. We will leave the lobby at 10pm tonight. Come and join.

H.I. New York's mini-concert series, "Music in the Courtyard" brings some of the finest New York artists right here to the hostel for you to enjoy under the stars every Wednesday from 7:30 until the Sun goes down.

When Britt Neal sits down at the piano, the room is filled with blues, jazz, pop.... her original songs, soulful lyrics and unique mix of blues, rock and folk is the reason she's loved everywhere she plays.

Giant Step continue their bi-weekly, Monday evening, house music throwdowns tonight with seminal Chicago producer Ron Trent. "A perennial presence in music since the early 90's and a long time Giant Step family member, Ron Trent pulls no punches! Considered to be one of the architects of the Chicago music scene, Ron's breakthrough first release was the highly recognized classic 'Altered States' in 1990. In the early 90's, Ron collaborated with House/R&B team Hula & Fingers, producers for Jive records and with Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Kool Mo D, High Five, Lidell Townsend and MTF. Ron's sound expanded in 1997 with the release of the dance classic 'Ncame U.' With writing partner Anthony Nicholson, famed vocalist D'bora, and Peven Everett on trumpet, this record launched Ron onto the NYC dance scene. He quickly gained respect as a DJ/Producer by doing various gigs at Body and Soul, Shelter and hosting his own events at the legendary nightclub Vinyl in downtown Manhattan." 21+

Monday, Brooklyn Twilight and Outdoor Movies!!

Yes, you have seen everything in New York but probably not in the outer-boroughs. Brooklyn is becoming a destination for many travelers. There are the hipster haunts in Williamsburg, the art galleries in Dumbo, and strolling in Park Slope.

Today's post is a tribute to a few cool things in Brooklyn.

At the hostel, tonight at 5pm there is a FREE tour which take you on a sunset walk in Brooklyn. Explore the Brooklyn Bridge with Bill, our number one B-town tour guide.
